Then I think that each and everyone of us have an inborn sense of rhythm and time. And it's visible in our most trivial of activities, like walking and clapping of hands. Now I think that's good enough for a cinematic intro. Now let me get to the matter.

The drum or 'percussion' in technical words was the first instrument ever used by man. I think the reasons are pretty obvious. It is the most basic way to make a sound using your limbs. And still today it is the basic thing that is needed to produce rhythmic music. But what has attracted me the most about it is it's versatility. You can just implement the features of any genre of music into what you're playing, to create stuff of your own in an instant. Whereas I'm sure you'll be finding it quite tough to create an original guitar riff of some decent quality( Well, you may disagree and happily think that you're right). No, I'm not saying that drums are better than guitar( In fact I like listening to good guitarists more), but just that the complexity factor in learning it is much much less. That is why I think they're are a lot more self-taught drummers than guitarists.

Now everybody has drummed at some point of life. If not, then you're lying. It might have been with Pepsi bottles, or on the bench on an afternoon class at school, or on a proper drum-kit. But i think it's all the same. A more appropriate person to ask would be the drummer Sivamani, who uses plates, briefcases and god knows what else in all his 'big' stage concerts. It's all about the sound and the rhythm. You may use drumsticks, the bare hands, feet, chopsticks, or some goddamn twigs, and if you can make something listenable out of it then you are a drummer. Some guys even start drumming on a guitar. Now that's quite an irony. Well I started to learn to play a drum properly when i was 9 or 10 (can't remember properly). It was the south Indian percussion instrument, the mridangam. Then i started playing on the drum kit when i was 13 and it still gives me a beginner's excitement to play it .

There's this thing (especially among young people) about musical tastes that seperates musicians into the cool and uncool territory, which I find is totally annoying. Don't know about others, but I respect every genre of music that's out there. Not that I like listening to Vuvuzela's all day, but just the basic respect for all kinds of good music. And another thing is that you never know where some influence kicks in. I listen to everything from Indian classical music to death metal, and it really helps me sometimes to merge stuff together and play something new. The Indian music scene would have been much better if everyone had been true to themselves in appreciating good music. With the vast amount of talent if different genres of music that we have in our country, I find it very hard to believe that musicians don't work together with someone of a totally different genre. Had it been somewhere else, we would have seen a local rajasthani singer performing along with Motherjane (check them out now if you haven't yet) or something of that sort.

I had to somehow write these things down in here. They have been lingering in my mind for so much time now. May not make much sense to you, but still you read it till here, so that's good enough for me :)

P.S. -- Next time you are bored and find your books sitting jobless in a corner with lots of dust on them, keep them on a table , and start drumming on them. And take books of different sizes because they give different sounds and give you a great feeling when you find that cool new rhythm.

And it's another year gone by..

The last 4 and a half months I was BUSY with what they call the 1st semester of college life, and one that most people can never manage to obliterate from their minds. It was not very different for me. My first taste of ragging, washing clothes, digesting inexplicably horrible food just for the sake of appetite, and most importantly , having a sense of time without the help of others. In hostels, the residents decide their own day and night( as in, the time for work and the time for rest) . The falling of sun's rays on the Goan sands is no criteria for it.
Oh and btw, I'm studying in 'BITS Pilani Goa Campus' .The name may be confusing, i blame you not, but for some weird reasons it's located in 'Goa', the Las Vegas of India and is part of the Bits Pilani university started by the Birla's.

The first month or so in the place mentioned above went at jet speed. Life was so hectic and full that I just seemed to release all those containers of slackness that were stored in me during the 2 month period of vacation just before the initiation into the place mentioned above. But then it all began to take a swift turn. Just after a month, dates were announced for the first test towards getting my B.E Mechanical Engineering Degree. And I happily turned a blind eye to it. After all, I had survived two years of rigorous testing for some random tests which did test my patience for freedom. It felt nothing more than a routine procedure. But then it was not at all the way to be. I had placed my foot on unknown territory. These were not people you could put your money on for not studying. These were SUPPOSEDLY the smartest folks of India who abide by the greatest dogma in this country that a high cgpa in engineering and a Post Graduate MS/M Tech/MBA from the nerdiest of universities are the only means of attaining Nirvana in the life of Homo Sapiens. I had to greatly increase my standards to survive in this raging tide towards academic excellence. The teaching Sapiens (no disrespect intended ) did not offer much of a help in this regard. Finally I had reasons to admire some of my school teachers in 12th whom i had guiltily disregarded as bad instructors.

The results of the testing procedure were not appreciable by any means . And very soon, I had the opportunity to take another test, this time for a radical spread of the Yellow Fever in our SUPPOSEDLY new and hygienic campus. I despised taking the test but the Almighty thankfully gave notice to my willpower and saved me from the disease which rendered about 300-400 Sapiens in the campus bed-ridden for about a month or so.

The two week break declared by the college due to the Yellow Fever was a pleasant gift and I welcomed it with both arms. Coming home felt good and refreshing after some hectic and chaotic days. The next big thing in our campus was our cultural fest WAVES WINTER 2009 (Although winter virtually doesn't happen in Goa). The event was just a pass off for me. Nothing special except the 3 nights, when dj suketu ,kk, and parikrama brought out the hardly evident life in the campus.

And after that it was back to the testing formalities again and I won't elaborate because of the sheer boredom associated with the topic. And right now.. at 9: 32 PM ,on 29th December 2009 , at my sweet home , 2 days away from 2010, I am listening to the live streaming of the sunburn festival at Goa where my favorite and the best DJ in the world , Armin Van Buuren is doing a complete Awe-Inspiring show. How could I not be at Goa at the exact time when he's playing ?! Well I certainly did miss it badly but feel not much regrets as I am enjoying being at home . I'll try the next time he shows up in India. And day before yesterday i met up with my old friends from school. It was a really cool get-together as finally we people had a lots to talk with each other , cursing and praising the various aspects of each one's college life. So that's roughly everything which has happened in the last 5 months in my life.

So that's it for now,and something will be put up at write at a later time , as and when the nerves in my brain connect properly again to post a blog. Talking about nerves, I need to tell you this that I had to mug up even my most dreaded subject of BIOLOGY in the last semester! Much needed for my thought that engineering was all about amazing things like automobiles and aircrafts . It's the BITS way of education , as some say. Although I'm a great lover of nature and take so much pleasure in doing something to protect it (See my WWF banner :) ), studying BIOLOGY is definitely not coded into my DNA. Think this is enough for now, feeling really hungry and got to go and have my favorite DOSA. Meanwhile Armin has pushed up the tempo and God this is just so splendid to hear. Now Playing: Burned Desire by Van Buuren. Sayonara.

Back to being a Slacker

Being utterly jobless is quite a strange situation . The freedom that you have in hand gives you a delusion that you are truly happy with yourself. But at the end of the day when you look back at it, you feel a bit guilty of wasting one precious day in life. In the other case, when you have been working all day long with a hope that some day you will become a free bird, then at least you have some reason to cheer about at the end of the day , that you have one day less to go through this torture.

Anyways i'm very much better off with the first case .It really is an ecstasy to doze off for those 10 hours a day, mostly even more with the rain bringing back the much needed cool weather at night.

And to wake up and just take time to do anything you want, take those long showers, watch all those tv shows which i had been missing consistently for some stupid reasons ( all the important shows, either the final of a major sport tourney, or some good movie, always used to be on the day before an exam or an important test , and it used to really piss me off ) . I had a trip to Bangalore during the 1st week of june, well for about 3 days . Stayed at my friend varun's house there. Really envy him for having gone there after 10th. The road traffic is definitely a bit worse, but the place just has got so much to offer. I've visited B'lore a few times but this is actually the first time that i saw the city in detail,it's development, malls and stuff. For a chap from our great city of cochin which consists of only one main road and two malls , B'lore is really big deal. Not that i'm a shop-a-holic or anything. It's just that one doesn't have to hangout at the same place everytime, like the case here.

After going there i had to see a film, obviously. The only theatre where hindi films release in ernakulam has speakers which are worse than a home theatre system. So i went for this movie , 99 with my friend .There were few other choices(thanks to some film producer's strike ) , and the critics too seemed impressed with it. So we went ahead. But just 10 mins after the movie began, we were sure that the money did not go waste. It was absolutely 'hilarious' all the way . And it wasn't some trash comedy you would normally expect in a hindi film. The humour was embedded in the story itself . Each character in the film contributed to the laugh riot. Even the bad guys! But Cyrus Broacha was the one who kept the comedy going throughout the film. Kunal Khemu also does a brilliant job and Boman Irani again proves his comedy prowess . Soha Ali Khan hasn't got much to do but she does her part well. And all the other actors were just perfectly suited for their roles. Overall i think it must be one of the best comedies in recent times in bollywood.

Back to kerala and i was back to my old friends tv and comp. 'Facebook' took most of my hours away, and the time left i spent on some kind of rigorous exercises like pressing the buttons on the tv remote. And sometimes i do some research on colleges and stuff... it's really interesting to read those forums on some of the websites. The word fights between the jobless students of different colleges are really worth wasting your time. Another important thing that i did was that i had an experience of the famous 'ambalapuzha paal paayasam' from the temple there. If you haven't come to know about it yet, well all that i can tell is that it is the best paal paayasam(I guess it's a kind of rice pudding.. in english) you'll ever get to taste in life. The sweetness of it..it was truly magical. Just penetrates into your head and you won't feel like stopping.

After that.. i havn't done much other than seeing some horrible films. Well i had bought a dvd from b'lore (obviously pirated ) which said in it's cover that TERMINATOR 4 was included. But what was there was a similar sounding movie called THE TERMINATORS!!, and it was crap to say the least. The rest of the films in the collection were not much better, except maybe 'The Shinjuku Incident'.

I also had a jam session with my friend and bass guitarist Peter. We rented a drums kit( i play it btw) and played out for some 4-5 hours .

vanished iit dream...

Well, yes. The dream sadly did not become reality. The jee results were out 2 days before. Didn't even get through in the merit list and came at around 1700 in the extended list ( well, this is a completely misleading list which was just for the sake of consolation to some aspirants who just couldn't make it , and is also for some non iit institutions ). And yes, i'm feeling sad too. But i won't go into scrutinising the cause of my failure . Because i feel it's plain impossible. I felt around 2-3 years before, that getting into iit means is the sole meaning of schooling and any kind of study ! But that pereception has changed completely. There is a whole lot of meaning to iit preparation than to clearing the exam. Many feel it's a waste of time to prepare and not clear but i don't. I may be right or wrong but that's what i feel. I'm just looking it from my perspective. That of one who has lost the IIT race to others .

There are thousands of articles on the newspaper, internet, ..etc .. which tell many ways of IIT preparation, but i bet you not a single one helps. When it comes to entrance exams , i think there is no written, or spoken way to success . It all just happens as such. I think there is no better application of the saying, " take care of small things, and the bigger things fall automatically into place ", than entrance exams.Well I'm able to say this now only as i did not clear jee. A few months before nothing like this would come to my mind, and i think it wouldnt have to anybody else who are like me. I would suggest to any aspirant that always work to become rank 1 , whatever be the competition and however small the test is . The mentality that being in the top 10 is good...is extremely fatal. It'll gradually come to top 20..then 50..then 100.... and it never ends.

Well , all that's my point of view. And as i said before, no point of view of entrance exams is perfect. It just goes like that. You think you've done well enough and you end up at the trench. You mess up with something and you go up the mountain. It is really a strange sort of thing. You just have to do one thing well. Learn what is required. Again the question is ,how much is actually required! Yes.. this q & a session would never ever end..

And about what i said.. about how preparing to iit never goes waste.. here's something on it.

First, you learn how to learn the hard way. for eg :on the way of preparing , you realise how badly has those spoonfeedings at school affected you. Now there's no way you can STUDY the whole thing.U gotta to use those things inside your head to a much greater amount. This might be the first experience of 'learning the hard way '.

Secondly , With these things you can never say, Okay ..i've done enough..One will realise there are just no limits to learning .

and there are much more. you learn how to inspire yourself to come up from uncomfortable situations. You learn how to deal with different people differently. You learn to become a nerd at home and a dashy teenager at school. You realise how much things are out of control. Your favorite club's football match is enough to get you on the bottom of the rank list . And more often, fate starts playing games. You lose an important notebook with so many notes, you write it down all over from your friend, even though you have to study for a test paper at school the next day. So you have to sit very late into night and sleep for some 4-5 hours. You go to the test next day, feel sleepy and write some bullshit and comeback. And when at home you see that your note book is there under a pillow. But then you don't even have time to get angry, cuz you have to leave for the coaching class! This is it.. Things like this can happen..and will happen , esp in 12th. You'l atleast think a hundred times about giving up, but if you even get conviced once, then you will be gone for nothing.

Like this... one learns a million things in these 2 years of preparation for the entrance tests..

and whatever you learn.. it's just an addition to your personality.. so i think i have no need to feel dejected about effort getting wasted .. and neither do others like me.. there's always something up for grabs..

So that's it.. that's something i feel about ' entrance ' exams.. from whatever i've experienced..

but for good or bad 11th nd 12th years are rely different from anythin before that.. i'm sure about that..

ITs 3 Am !!

Yes it is..nd im still awake enuf...to write a blog. It really looked like a sunderland vs barcelona match but.. barcelona all over real's defence. seemed they were enjoying messi's movements! :P... 6 - 2 ....is that a result one normally see's for a match btw championship contenders?? ..nd without casilas' bloody brilliant saves..it could have been 10 - 2..well..barcelona do play devastating football at times..hope dey dont perform like THIS against chelsea.. nd den..,,
kk...leme stop here...going sleepless doesnt do any good ...so lemme hit the pillows right away..

So.. huh!..finally wrote the IIT JEE exams today.. . many consider it the ultimatum of all the xams in the country. It's almost lyk a lottery for life. You crack it , or get cracked . Yes, i too had the dream (..nd still have ) of makin it into iit, but trust me it's hell preparin for it. This yrs paper..in my opinion wuz purely constructed.. The first one wuz quite easy nd most were like cbse sorta questions .. but the 2nd one was quite of a high standard .. I think the thing lackin in this yr's paper wuz the range of the portions asked from.. many marks were concentrated on some partic. topic. But anywayz its IIT JEE nd ur supposed to be expecting the worst! nd talking abt the way i have done it... i wud say i put in a 75 pc effort.. cudve done it a lil bit btr..lyk i made silly errors as i always do. nd im expectin the score to be somewer around 200.. i hope... . anyways the next one AIEEE is my final resort.. It's now do or die situation.. An NIT is the least thing you need to go to for decent engineering studies...or dats wat everybody says.. whatever.. I have to put all my efforts on it.. It's the one last chance now.. so again i ought to do the same old boring thing i have been doing for a dozen of years... STUDY. All this just for my love of cars nd machines.. There's absoutely nothing else which cud inspire me for this. btw. BRAWN GP is seeming pretty dangerous. Hope FERRARI catch up quickly..

Today is the eve of another Christmas, and my last one as a school student. So nothing big about it.
Describing my life these days would be like quite boring to u as well as me, because that's how things are going. Day by day work is keeping on increasing. More worksheets on the table, more portions to complete. Its just a race against time now. And now entrance classes are there almost everyday, atleast 3 hrs. Last week I made a blunder in the AIEEE form by pasting a photo without my name getting imprinted on it, which was supposed to be, and then we had to buy another form from chennai. So 500 rs to gaya. And rather UNFORTUNATELY , I have begun to feel the old hunger to watch movies . I had quite controlled the tendency for a long time. But now its hitting back . I ve already watched 2 this week and dunno for how many more i'm going to waste my time. Its very strange . Really. The determination i had for studies suddenly has gone down in a couple of weeks. Im again feeling very lazy to work any more!. And at a dangerous time too. I know i really cant afford time to slip away now, but once i start with the books, i just keep falling asleep!. I got to do something on this from tomorrow. Really cant let this happen for more time.

AND Then about the Mumbai Terror Attacks, about which i havnt put my thoughts on the blog yet.
3 days. Some 10 terrorists. Capturing one entire city. That too, The financial capital of the nation. In a city of such importance, how could this have possibly happened. I mean, if we cant protect MUMBAI , how the heck can we say the rest of INDIA is safe?
The incident was terribly unfortunate and my deepest condolences to all those who died in the attack , and the martyrs of the NSG, navy , police and other security forces. It was really brave from their part to encounter such heavily armed terrorists.
And what does India do immediately on Pakistan? Put the blame on them. "hey look its you who nurtured these terrorists and caused this damage " . Why dont we just think about the severe lapses in the seccurity of our country first. If the same had happened in the US the FBI would have arrived at the scene in about 10 mins. What happens in India. It takes hours for some well armed forces to reach the spot. And the ones who reached first, THE POLICE could not do anything, why? They had just hand held pistols!. And to fight these Ak 47's with Pistols, what madness is this? The FBI would have had even better equipments. Well the country really needs to wake. For a country with one of the biggest armies in the world, we need to make sure that even the police is given the best possible equipment. And the setting up of a an agency to fight terror at the 1st symptom, is the NEED OF THE HOUR. We cant just go on blaming some one else for this. Terrorism wont stop suddenly if pakistan takes out all the groups there. It is still growing. And what we have to do is to make our nation protected to the core from these inhuman acts. So thinking about security matters over fighting with pakistan. Only the second step is to destroy the terror outfits. For this we have to do research and set up secret intelligence agencies to find out and root out the epicentres of terror.

I'm back again bloggin!!..almost after quite a long period of 10 months or so.. well so much has happened and changed during dis time...and as a student, i've quite turned into my studies bit seriously...well.. it started after i joined the talent sindia coaching centre in vytilla. i developed an interest in studying, thanks to the one nd only nandakumar sir.. and by chance if he sees dis blog im gona get fired very badly!!

So ill be short and to the point....actually dis is d most crunch time of my school life and even my career..i shudnt be bloggin now..but i jus want to write down abt dis situation...which i hopefully wont have to face again..
The first thing is about school...I quite changed a lot during d last 5 -6 months...almost stopped hangin out wid frnds...started listenin in classes... stopped to an extent my usual 11th type fooling around during classes.... but it has given me a lot of satisfaction i shud say... i mean...i dont like being like dis but in dis year and in dis situation..it helps...im now able to put my complete focus on to my studies...dont get much distractions...nd im able to spend more time on it...my rankings in talents have considerably increased...and im doing quite good dere...got in to the intensive batch...nd im terribly wanting a seat into an iit or an nit...jus for d sake of dose nxt 4 yrs..if i get into a gud colg...i can have d best time of my life der..else....oh...
rely i cant hang onto dis kerala any more...i gota go sumwer else...so i rely want an iit or nit seat...nd from wat i heard from evrybody studying in these normally considered "PLACES FOR NERDS " , they are actually not so..they r the best places for njoying the colg life too........

So dats wats hooking me onto entrance coaching....OF COURSE THAT HOOK HAS GOT ME INTO ANOTHER BIG PROBLEM....

Im starting to flunk in school!!!
ivnt flunkd for d last 12 yrs nd im doin it now!!... wat a time...nd dat too in maths...my fav subject!!.. jus cant blieve it..so im in d midst of dat confusion btw skool />
This is yet another review..of the most wonderful film that I saw this year...a perfect christmas gift for any movie aficionado..Taare Zameen Par...the directorial debut of MY favorite actor Aamir khan.....an absolutely mind blowing movie to watch..it just brings out all the deepest emotions in ur heart..even without u getting to know..Truly saying..this must be the first ever movie during which i actually CRIED...and i thinkanyone else would surely do...some of the scenes are just soo touching...but the magic isthat u wont realise u r getting emotional until those tears roll down..u'll know y i said this...jus check out this film...u wont argue..im sure of that..
The plot is simple though..a normal 9 year old child named ISHAAN..who sees the world throughhis own eyes...and it doesnt consist of any school or any text book or anything else...but his imagination is miles longer than any other child of his age...Suffering from DYSLEXIA..he has severe learning and writing disablities..and no one understands this fault in him..making him just a lazy couch who's just born for failures...
Fed up with frequent complaints from teachers and some threat of him being expelled from his school...ISHAAN's parents have no alternative but to send him to a boarding school...here is where the film actually picks up from an ordinary movie...the boy begins to feel the lackor parental love...his depression takes him too far to be an angry young boy who is not interested into anything in life...till..... a man arrives to change his life and the way the others look at it...forever... Here enters the character of Ram Chandra Nikumbh...a newly appointed art teacher in ISHAAN's school(played by Aamir Khan)...being a dyslexic himself in his childhood...Nikumbh really understands the emotions going inside Ishaan'sinnocent mind...he visits his house one day...and after having talks with his parents...he makes himunderstand why Ishaan is the way he is..and also unearthes an extraordinary talent in this boy...PAINTING...
His pictures are made of imagination that cannot be found in any normal child of his age...They are astonishingly creative and massively deep in emotions... the teacher takes these pictures to the principal of the boarding school...and convinces him abt this superior talent Ishan has...the head seems confused enough but then finally gives nikumbh to give the child a time of six months to pass his 3rd grade...without any intermediate exams or classes...Nikumbh takes this time to make Ishan rediscover himself..understand what he's got in him..and teacheshim language in a disctinctively artistic way...
The end result....Ishan becomes hero from zero...he wins the painting competition held in school forall the students and teachers...with a picture that looks quite BRILLIANT on screen(wonder who drew itactually)..And the scene where this boy slowly comes down the steps to take his prize and cries out to hug his teacher..is an absolute tear dropper...the film ends with Ishan's parents finally coming to know their brilliant childand get surprised by the way he improved his grade in all the subjects...they come to take him back home..getting inside the car...he cudnt hide his love for his art teacher....he runs out frm the car to Aamir...and...that's the final scene...an end to a movie i wudn't regret watching 10 timess.....
The best thing of this film is by..far...the 8 year old ISHAN (played by Darsheel Safary)...all his mannerisms and way of talking...jus takes us bak to those lovely times...and although suffering fromdyslexia....in all his scenes v wud jus love him more n more for his sweeeet behaviour...DARSHEEL HAS JUST DONE A BLINDING JOB!!Morover...AAMIR KHAN has proved his versatility...this is jus an unbelievable debut film from him..no one cud have expected more....
hmm...well....this film may jus put together the brains of all those parents..who just bully their young kids forexcelling in academics....forgetting that life is not about learning things by heart...it is by exploring the world...by opening one's mind to the world of dreams...
AND FOR DYSLEXIA..i THink the film portrays the disorder superbly...it's jus something kids suffer in their early life...it's not at all an indicator of their capabilities...and all those names said in the movie..ALBERT EINSTEIN,ABHISHEK BACHCHAN,THOMAS EDISON....all these are REAL examples of dyslexic people..althougha stupid crowd in the theatre cudn't stop laughing at 'wat they thought were' jus silly lies!
SO dont keep waiting...jus go to d theatre..or get da DVD..or watevr else..jus make sure u dont miss out on this one...and dont hold up ur tears...jus let them go...cuz always listen to wat ur heart says...

<img width='1' height='1' played till date, playing this game is THRILL at it's peak. REALITY is something that adds that extra bit of interest in any kind of visual entertainment. And with that case, this is ULTIMATE REALITY, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE at it's very best...
Every minute detail is incredibly realistic.
The story of this game is based in the 1920's and 30's, which was the time of the high rising of the greatest EMPIRE OF CRIME, the MAFIA..

let's check out their brief history taken from wiki

[ The Mafia (also known as Cosa Nostra), is a criminal secret society which first developed in the mid-19th century in Sicily. An offshoot emerged on the East Coast of the United States during the late 19th century following waves of Sicilian and Southern Italian emigration. In America, the Mafia often refers to Italian American organized crime in general, rather than just Sicilian American organized crime. According to historian Paolo Pezzino: "The mafia is a kind of organized crime being active not only in several illegal fields, but also tending to exercise sovereignty functions – normally belonging to public authorities – over a specific territory..."

Some observers have seen "mafia" as a set of positive attributes deeply rooted in popular culture, as a "way of being", as illustrated in the definition by the Sicilian ethnographer, Giuseppe Pitrè, at the end of the 19th century: "Mafia is the consciousness of one's own worth, the exaggerated concept of individual force as the sole arbiter of every conflict, of every clash of interests or ideas."

Many Sicilians did not regard these men as criminals but as role models and protectors, given that the state appeared to offer no protection for the poor and weak. As late as the 1950s, the funeral epitaph of the legendary boss of Villalba, Calogero Vizzini, stated that "his 'mafia' was not criminal, but stood for respect of the law, defense of all rights, greatness of character. It was love." Here, "mafia" means something like pride, honor, or even social responsibility: an attitude, not an organization. Likewise, in 1925, the former Italian Prime Minister Vittorio Emanuele Orlando stated in the Italian senate that he was proud of being mafioso, because that word meant honorable, noble, generous.]

This game tells the story of two MAFIA dons of the imaginary city of LOST HEAVEN. The first is DON SALIERI.. a poor man who had to work his way to the top through the hardest difficulties in life...but he is highly regarded with the people for his good deeds to the poor.
The second don is DON MORELLO...a ruthless CRIMINAL who aims at nothing other than to earn money.. ToGETHER..these DONS control almost the whole city

Our HERO..Thomas(a.k.a TOMMY)..enters the scenario as a taxi driver who helps two of SALIERI's men to escape from the hands of enemy gangsters. Unfortunately, he has to pay the price for it one fine day as the gangsters come and demoslish his taxi. Tommy has nowhere to go and ends up in need of help from SALIERI himself. There begins the rise of a fiery mafioso, TOMMY.

As the levels progress, the DON becomes almost like a godfather to TOMMY. He starts to get involved in BIG deals of the DON. SALIERI'S right hand, his Consigliere( advisor ) is FRANK, a european. There exists a MAFIA law called Omertà which implies “the categorical prohibition of cooperation with state authorities or reliance on its services, even when one has been victim of a crime.” FRANK is made to disobey this law under a critical circumstance of kidnapping of his wife and children. TOMMY, on a mission to eliminate this betrayer of OMERTA, feels pity of his family and asks him to escape to a remote location somewhere in europe.

THE GAME CONTINUES with high thrill...as many more dangerous missions come to TOMMY's hands.
And to the SALIERI's orders, TOMMY even takes care of the killing of DON MORELLO. This awakes a sense of high self esteem in TOMMY for his strength. He and his friend PAULIE make a plan to rob SALIERI's bank! The plans do become reality.

But what follows is the worst part. PAULIE is killed in his own apartment. Then SAM, pretending to protect TOMMY from SALIERI's men, asks him to come to an art gallery. But actually, it had been SAM who had killed PAULIE on the DON's orders and had purposely TRAPPED Tommy.
There begins the final mission of the game, which is a bloody hairy shootout. The final one on one encouter with SAM is the toughest part of the game.

Finishing this, the epilogue of the story starts. TOMMY, after wasting out SAM, immediately flies off. He then goes to the court and starts a case against SALIERI with the help of a lawyer. TOMMY wins the case. SALIERI and his men are put under the bars. TOMMY himself settles into a new life somewhere in SOUTHERN USA. In the last cut scene, TOMMY is visited by two men who with shotguns. THEY JUST SAY ,"Mr.SALIERI has sent you his regards" and SHOOOOTTTTT........................

THERE LIES A HEAVILY BLEEDING TOMMY IN THE GARDEN.....

END of the game, one which truly wouldn't disappoint you.

ORDINARY ROUTINE

wake up at 9, breakfast at 11 30 or 12, lunch at 4!, dinner (timed better) at 9 30, nd finally back to bed the first hour of the next day.

SEEMS WEIRD? well in that case u can call me a weird person cuz this is exactly what i do everyday!...but of course..SADLY... I can't have these LUXURIES once the school reopens again..

I have always felt very proud to confess that SLEEPING is one of my favourite things to do. And with the prediction of the meteorology department that monsoon would start by the final week of may 'UNBELIEVABLY' coming true.. I just thrive to sleep as long as possilble. After those SLEEPLESS, SCORCHING summer nights wen i used to think as far as stripping myself to get atleast some coolness!!(even that wouldn't have worked I feel), the heavenly feeling of escaping under that bed sheet which i use to conceal myself from the world altogether, those dreams which I completely forget the next day morning( I have tried soo much to figure out just 'WHAT DID I DREAM LAST NIGHT??',and i end up without getting even a tiny hint )
Okay then on to what happens after those dreams..

But post-sleep activities are not much better...sometimes i may go again and take a nap at the front room DIVAN!...with a blunt xcuse that i wuz just lying down for a little while..hmm so this is my ORDINARY ROUTINE you shall say..but if I continue to explain further I'm sure u r not goin to bear this for long.

SO let me chalk out something better...
Well..there is this website called ORKUT that is driving teens crazy these days( even i am a GUILTY victim of this). It happened one day that i saw this SERIOUSLY strange JAPANESE man with a friend request for me!!..really i wuz taken aback for 1 sec..MY FAME HAD REACHED EVEN JAPAN??
okay so i let the poor guy have me as a friend, and suddenly he started sending SCRAPS to me!!....and to worsen the scenario...ALL IN JAPANESE LANGUAGE!! Then i thought, if MR.JAPAN(his name is a real tongue twister) is soo much obsessed with using japanese.. then why don't I offer my respect to my own language, MALAYALAM..and so i did...replied him back with a few difficult words like 'KSHEMANWESHANANGAL'(well wishes), 'PRAKRITIDHATTAM'(by nature), 'SAMAKAALIKASAMOOHAVICHAARANGAL'(social thoughts)( dat tym i wuz quite gud at malayalam, esp due to board studies) nd all..ehh..poor guy...

Anyways..that was the end of my contact with MR.JAPAN..havn't heard anything from him after that

SO another hour is spend daily on CHATTING..which is quite a gud time pass if it's with my school friends..nd another 1 or 2 hours would be spend on pc games..

Listening to music is one of my favorite hobbies..so another 1 or 2 hours would be spend for that...

Aannd..not to forget the IDIOT BOX..which is my favourite companion...
The speed at which i surf between the channels is really blinding..that someone sitting beside me would think i have gone nuts!..but THAT is my xperience with the thing..i know xactly wer a watchable channel would come..i can even make what kind of show is going on from a split-second image!

Among other things..hmm...nothin much more..just somehow manage to keep wasting time...going out with friends, riding on the scooter for a while, going to the dvd shop to catch some cool new PIRATED movies,.... DAYS JUST GO ON AND ON LIKE THIS........

HUH...I'M RELIEVED

OKAY this one is cumin for u straight out of a very 'RELAXED' state of mind.

Keeping in memory all dat i have gone through in my 10th standard year, the results of my first ever Board exam in my life has come just like a perfect icing on the cake. 93.4%, a VERY MUCH good result for me. I really wasn't expecting much higher than this. And i also knew that i had not done any exeptional hardworking to get much beyond than this. At last, the bell still keeps ringing in my brains..
U ONLY GET WHAT U DESERVE.

NOW LET ME GO DEEPER INTO THIS STORY.

The build up for this thing started right from the beginning of the year. Pressure had been just soo tough to absorb. I really thought that i had to avoid pressure gettin on to me somehow, jus somehow.
And i did came up with a "MASTER PLAN".
Continue 10th just like any other normal year!!
I dint stop going for movies with friends, Stayed away from those deadly tutions altogether, Stayed away from guides till the study holidays, dint miss any oppurtunity to enjoy myself throughout the year, Even went till watching TV for 1 or 2 hours on the day before the exam!! And as i feel, just a little extra effort on gettin it right with the portions is all that the board exam asks from a student. GOing for any other kind of "NERD" stuff is absolutely CRAP! It's absolutely UNNECESSARY!!

Another MAJOR thing about this public exam is that it's

"an OMEN telling you that the future life is going to be much more paintaking and that there's no way of SLACKING OFF"!!!

This is the best way to describe the board exams i think.

Because 11th is just going to be an entirely new, unexplored kind of experience. Getting to be th e SUPER SENIORS in school, respnsibilities coming ur way, teachers not upto any more SPOON FEEDING, ....ehh...i jus cant wait for it!!. And for the PAINTAKING part, the portions are just going to be MILES longer!!!

Hmm then..i forgot to mention about the vacations!...

IT WUZ JUST THE BEST VACATION EVER IN MY LIFE.
i had never felt soo much joy during any vacation that i can remember!..
And the festival at my native place...jus got me turned on SOO much.
Even at home..usually at vacation times i wud be cursing the CRUEL feeling of BOREDOM...this time it wuz really NOT THE SAME...even if nothin was worth doing...i wud still manage to keep myself busy...
AND I REALLY HAVE TO SAY...EVEN SLEEPING FOR THE WHOLE DAY DINT GET ME BORED!!...
Itz just sometimes that you find urself wasting away time that makes you think u r gettin bored. I try not to say that to myself-" ITZ SOO BORING HERE". i just do whatever i want to do...I THINK SOMETIMES IT'S JUST NECESSARY THAT YOU HAVE TO FORGET THAT TIME IS PRECIOUS!
But really it was a wonderful 2 months which went off at jet speed!

Now that wonderful time is again nearing its cigarette-end........I dont think i will get such a lavish vacation time ever again in my life.....hmmm that does HURT!!

I have decided upon to take the stream of COMPUTER-MATHS next year...which is getting truck loads of STUDENTS behind it!! No one seems to think different!!....neither do I...so no point blaming anyone.

Anyway...all im looking forward to is a year full of fun and frolic...nd hop it turns out that way.....HUH!...finally got a positive note to end this blog....SO...keep waiting for more...until then ...
take care, bye bye, SLEEP WELL, DRIVE SAFE, STUDY HARD, PLAY HARDER, AND HAVE FUN THE HARDEST!!!

HEy and i know u have more time left..so do chip in some comments...CRITISICM WELCOMED!
at first....i felt this waz it...end of joy, end of casual attitudes....
and many things else....
But this year has been very exciting 4 me...
I got to know many of my batchmates closely this year.......and most of them
were almost like new to me...as this wuz the 1st time i had been sharing a same
class with them...
I felt how excitin it was to get to know new people........to get to understand
their distinct characters....all so amazin..

this year...very surprisingly to me....a gud talent inside me waz brought out..
I had studied drums 4 1-2 yrs in school.......but even in my dreams i dint think
of me being a part of the school muzic band, going 4 inter school competitionz..
this wuz really a completely new experience 4 me.....

'THE IMPULSE'...an inter school event conducted by the choice school....
wuz easily one of the best moments this year.....
I wuz rather coincidentally selected to play drums 4 the music event...
but i hav to say that the xperience wuz truly a new one for me..
LOOOTTTZ OF FUNNN all the way........it wuz jus too superb....truly cannot
be described!!

after it... many such competitions followed....and i thoroughly enjoyed all
of them....

THEN CAME ANOTHER BLASTING MOMENT OF THIS YEAR...OUR CLASS PICNIC...
at first i thought that the picnic wud be borin cuz of the place we wer going
to... a place i had never heard of b4...
But once it started.......then evrythin that followed wuz a case of
losin myself to fun n joy........I still can't believe how i spent that day
so joyfully....no tension, no stress, no worry about anything....
Even this wuz the same for all of my friends........
THe place din't matter at all.........we wer all freakin out like party animalz
that day........HUH!! some kind of a picnic...it really waz!!...

After the picnic thigs quite settled down quickly........nd now more attention
had to be given to my studies..Our second terminal xam wuz held in december...
nd to tell frankly...the results had been far far worse frm wat i had xpected..
And i really decided to catch up frm that moment.....

Our classes had almost been finished up by mid january....
evry1 wuz busy ritin slambuks.....to hav something in rememberence for their
dear ones......but we boyz as usual...lazy with all these things.....

From january there wuz not much happening altogether......
nd the first real assignment in 10th came into our hands....the pre-board
examinations.....which wer actually meant for preparing us for the final xams..
but nonetheless........we had to study Alll the portionzzzz.......
tellin frankly....sittin and studyin such boorriinn topicz really is one
of the dumbest things to do!!!

F*** the man who invented XAMS!!!!

the cat n mouse chase for finishin up thr portions wud only start abt 1 or 2 dayz
b4 the xams for me......nd i end up sittin late into nights 4 the last few dayz...
so......thatz all i can tell about now....cuz i'm ritin this blog such a situation..
yah..i'm now style="font-family:georgia;">THIS is my first blog entry in my life!!!
Right now i'm 15 yrs old....studyin in my tenth standard......
and this year...i'm going to face my first academic competitive public exam....
My tenth standard CBSE board xams!!
One thing........right from the start of the year......pressure from parents
and teachers, early preparations, lots of RESEARCH from senior students,....
nd a loottt of other silly things......it has finally reached the big moment.
Now i jus feel like....FOR WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING THROUGH ALL THESE....
finally it is jus the matter if u r jus confident enough to study some 10-20
chapters for each subject....nd hav the coolness to take the matter easily so
that ur mind stays within ur reach.......YAh i may sound a bit philosophical..
but itz reality!!
I jus thought like....i can remember the dialogues in a film...lines of a song.
..names and faces of over hundreds of soccer players.....but y not the simple
chapters in my textbook!!!
I think its all jus bcoz of nervousness.....the biggest distraction to the human
mind........
Yes u do hav to work hard to get marks...but hard work does not mean sacrificin
ur pleasure!!.....Bcuz only a tension free mind gives that xtra edge to think
in an xam...
in my case.......i really dont start studyin unless i am in a good mood....
nd to get that i depend mostly on gettin my favourite pleasures......like muzic
to me
<img width='1' height='1'
